Troop 1 is a boy scout troop that is part of the Crescent Bay district of the West Los Angeles County Council. Our troop is very active, maintains an excellent retention rate and rank advancement, and has a long Eagle Scout honor roll. During the year, our scouts go on monthly weekend campout trips, one ski/snowboard trip, and a week-long summer camp.
With our many eagle projects and other community service activities, we make it easy for anyone to earn their required community service. We are also very active in international scouting, and make many opportunities available for scouts to participate in international activities.
We place a special emphasis on leadership by the youth, and our adult leaders take their place in the background to be there for support and guidance when needed. We also actively participate in the yearly NYLT leadership training program at Camp Josepho. We welcome any boy over 11, or over 10 and has either completed the Arrow of Light award or the fifth grade, but younger than 18. We hope that you decide to join us!
